OC Handwriting - Services
Provides handwriting assessments and tutoring sessions based on the Handwriting Without Tears® curriculum.

The evaluation includes:
- Comprehensive student evaluation
- Consultation time with parent to review results
- Remediation plan based on the assessment
The Handwriting Without Tears Print Tool® and/or Cursive evaluation that is used assesses capitals, lower-case letters and numbers. The skills evaluated include memory, orientation, placement, size, start, sequence, control and spacing. Pencil grip, posture, paper placement and appropriate use of the “helper hand” are also observed. These observations then form the basis for the remediation plan and the handwriting tutoring sessions that follow.
Individual Handwriting Sessions
Each 45-minute tutoring sessions includes:
- Individualized instruction by a handwriting tutor
- Fine motor activity designed for your child’s fine motor needs
- Homework assignment and review
- Parent education and additional handouts
